A fine arts, intermediate level class for students who have basic drawing skills. Students in the intermediate class are ready to advance their skills to create more three-dimensionality in their work. Projects include animals, nature, still life, cartoons, human form as well as various artists and art periods. Emphasis is placed on shading, perspective, composition and developing finished pieces. Students will be encouraged to develop their own style and creative approach.
Tzuria, Age 11
As the Intermediate class continues, students begin taking more risks to venture on their own, gaining confidence and self-esteem in their drawing abilities and in themselves. Guidance is provided on an "as needed" basis, always leading students through the decision-making process involved in creating art.
“I learned how to shade with pencil and now I use that technique all the time.”
- Isis, Age 8
